Germany’s candidacy for a seat on the Security Council in 2019/20
Germany is seeking to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. Foreign Minister Steinmeier announced the candidacy for 2019/20 in Hamburg on Monday (27 June).

Energy transition: Germany’s path into the future
For decades Germany’s energy transition has been the global pioneer in rethinking the topic of climate protection. Since then Germany has been pursuing ambitious goals allowing a clean and sustainable electricity supply. Brochure "Dialogue among Civilizations"
Germany is committed to intercultural dialogue with the Islamic world both at the grassroot level and in international fora. The Federal Foreign Office has published a Brochure on this important topic.
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle states in his foreword to the brochure:
