Muslim women and men around the world are currently celebrating the end of Ramadan. I wish you all a blessed Eid al‑Fitr – a blessed Festival of the Breaking of the Fast.
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany will be closed on
26 and 27 June 2017 on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. The Embassy will reopen on Wednesday, 28 June 2017.
Dear Visa Customers,
if you have applied for a Schengen Visa through our Visa Service Center Al Qabas then kindly note the following opening times during Eid Al Fitr:
Al Qabas Assurex will be closed first and second day of Eid Al Fitr and will be opened on the third day. If Eid begins on Sunday, 25 June: - Filing a new application : All applicants who have booked appointments on Sunday 25th June will be informed by Al Qabas that their appointments will be transferred to Tuesday 27th June- Collection of passports:
The passports collection office will be opened from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm If Eid begins on Monday, 26 June: Regular working hours on Sunday, 25 June at Al Qabas Service Center, please see

The German Embassy including the Visa Department will be closed on Monday, 26 and Tuesday, 27 June. Visas applied through Al Qabas Assurex have to be collected through their offices and cannot be collected at the German Embassy directly.

Schengen Visa applications to Germany – Summer Season 2017
You are kindly advised to file your Schengen visa applications for Germany from now on and not just a few days before your trip in order to avoid any inconveniences.
Currently, appointments at our Visa Application Centre Al Qabas Assurex
can be obtained within 2-3 days – during the summer travel season waiting times of one week or more for an appointment may occur due to high demand.
Standard processing time Kuwaiti nationals: 3-5 working days
Standard processing time other nationalities: 10-12 working days
All travellers: In individual cases and in accordance with the Schengen Codex, the concerned authorities reserve the right to take up to two weeks to process the necessary clearances – so please ensure to apply early enough!
The visa clearance is a computerized process – the German Embassy has no influence on the processing time.
