The German Embassy would like to call upon all travelers to start filing their Schengen visa applications for their annual vacation in Germany from now on and not just a few days before their planned trip in order to avoid any inconveniences. At the moment, appointments at the application Centre Al Qabas can be obtained within 1-2 days – during the summer travel season waiting times of one week or more for an appointment may occur due to high demand.

Energy transition: Germany’s path into the future
For decades Germany’s energy transition has been the global pioneer in rethinking the topic of climate protection. Since then Germany has been pursuing ambitious goals allowing a clean and sustainable electricity supply. Germany is committed to intercultural dialogue with the Islamic world both at the grassroot level and in international fora. The Federal Foreign Office has published a Brochure on this important topic.
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle states in his foreword to the brochure:
