The Berlinale bear hunt begins
Great international cinema in Berlin: at the 62nd International Film Festival (February 9-19) the German capital is once again expecting many famous actors, directors and film stars as guests from around the globe.
The CrossCulture Internships Programme provides an opportunity to young professionals and volunteers from Germany and countries of the Islamic world to broaden their professional and political skills and to gather international experience by a sojourn in the host country – the strengthening of civil society structures and its peace capacities being one of the aims of the programme. The internships encourage the intercultural dialogue between Germany and the Islamic world and sustainably support networking within their cultures.

Short-term visa applications for travels to Germany (e.g. for tourism, visits, business) are to be submitted to the service provider Al Qabas who will for your convenience ensure that all the relevant documents are included in your application. There is no need to present yourself in person. You can send your documents either by messenger or via any mail service. If you choose this course, please double check that all the required documents are included.

Brochure "Dialogue among Civilizations"
Germany is committed to intercultural dialogue with the Islamic world both at the grassroot level and in international fora. The Federal Foreign Office has published a Brochure on this important topic.
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle states in his foreword to the brochure:
"Openness, respect and trust are the pillars for a dialogue between equals and for friendships at all levels in our countries, as well as between Germany and the Islamic world."
